Buje was first mentioned in as early as 981 as Castrum Bugi. Buje has retained the image of a fortified perched town until the present day. On the Buje cemetary outside the town walls there is the Church of St. Martin featuring the Renaissance portal.



Novigrad, both a town and a harbour, is located on the west coast of Istria, on the peninsula which used to be a small island closed from the north by the Luka Mirna Bay on the estuary of the Mirna river.



The almost 2 centuries old town of Poreč or once Colonia lulia Parentium today is one of the most popular Adriatic destinations. From its establishment, the inhabitants of Poreč lived from fishing and land cultivation.
